Duramaster Installation Instructions

**How to Install O-Ring Tube Seals** (Air Oil Tanks):

The new o-ring tube seals are an improvement over the old paper tube seals.

To install the new seals, first disassemble the Air Oil tank by loosening the tie rod nuts. If a suitable tool is not available for this, we offer back-out tools designed for this purpose:

115-50110 BACK OUT TOOL FOR 1-1/2” BORE TANKS

120-50110 BACK OUT TOOL FOR 2” AND 2-1/2” BORE TANKS

132-50110 BACK OUT TOOL FOR 3-1/4” AND 4” BORE TANKS

150-50110 BACK OUT TOOL FOR 5” AND 6” BORE TANKS

180-50110 BACK OUT TOOL FOR 8” BORE TANK

Once the unit is disassembled, remove the old paper tube seals from within the grooves in the headcaps.

To install the new o-ring tube seals, it is necessary to have a small flat screwdriver. First lay the o-ring in as much of the groove as possible and hold it in place with one hand. Using the other hand, work the small flat screw driver around the inside diameter of the o-ring, stretching the o-ring onto the inner hub of the groove. With practice, it can be done with one smooth motion, progressively stretching the o-ring into the groove.

Reassemble the unit by tightening the tie rod nuts. It may be necessary to hold the tie rod nut at one end with a screwdriver, so that it will not rotate while tightening the other end.
